New FaithSearch

Dear FaithSearch Friend,
We are living in challenging days. I pray that God will
take what is happening and work for good through it. But
the "good" that results may depend on how we
as Christians respond.
I am talking about the incredible "buzz" surrounding
the allegations of recent publications The Da Vinci
Code, The Jesus Papers and the "Judas
Gospel." It's everywhere: newspapers, magazines,
television, talk radio, and now the theater with the release
of The Da Vinci Code movie. What are these allegations?
- That Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and they
had a daughter Sarah
- That Jesus is not God, and everything we have been
taught about Him is false
- That the New Testament Gospels are fabrications and
legends, not history
- That the Christian Church is guilty of a cover-up
conspiracy to deceive the public
There is one statement I have occasionally heard about
FaithSearch which causes me to grieve.
It usually takes a form something like this: "The
message of FaithSearch is applicable only
to a small group of intellectuals." NOT
ANY MORE! (if ever) The
pertinence of our Gospel with evidence is now on everyone's
radar as people throughout our society struggle to sort
out the issues of faith and fact. The questions,
answers, and discoveries we have been proclaiming for
over twenty-five years anticipated and directly address
the confusion and apostasy these current challenges are
causing-even among Christians.
Attendees at our events use enthusiastic superlatives
to describe the enlightenment that occurred in their understanding
of the issues as the result of the FaithSearch
message: "It was awesome!" "It was wonderful!"
"It was very informative!" "Excellent seminar!"
We are getting this response regardless
of age, gender, vocation and geography. The
four comments above were from a junior high school student,
a middle-aged woman, a male attorney, and a pastor in
India! Here's what others wrote:
- [FaithSearch Discovery] "touched
my heart and my reasoning mind. I realize now that I
had based my faith on feelings…very weak, shakey, confused."
(new confession of faith)
- "I've been a believer for a long time with
the assurance that Christ is God without the facts.
Now I know the facts!" (recommitment)
- "This has been a way to put words-concrete
words-into my mouth to explain what exactly I have faith
in. Thanks for the great seminar!"
- "It dispelled some doubt of mine. It helped
me move toward belief. Thanks!" (new confession
of faith)
- "I am a lawyer and I have always wanted some
logical, intellectual answers to the Bible. I loved
your presentation. It resolved some of my doubts. Thanks!"
(new confession of faith)
- "It changed my beliefs." (new confession
of faith)
- "So many Ah-ha's! I recently started reading
the Bible…and your talk really helped fill in a lot
of blanks. Fantastic!" (recommitment)
- "I had been a 'Christian' all my life until
this year and I am struggling in disbelief and doubt…still
searching though encouraged by this session. Thanks."
(said "no" - could not confess Jesus)
But FaithSearch events do more than clarify
the truth. Every event presents
the Gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
People are invited to experience the power of new life.
As one attendee expressed it, "I especially liked the
opportunity to pray together at the end of the session and
to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior."
In order to prevent the destructive influence of current
false teachings, the FaithSearch evangelism
team presented fifty outreach
events from January through March, on two continents
and in ten states, resulting in hundreds of confessions
of faith in Jesus Christ. Another
ninety-six events were added to the schedule
in just this past quarter, to be completed in the next
year. I am also training others to present the powerful
FaithSearch Discovery in their networks
of influence. In the last quarter alone, 153 new teachers
in the USA and India were equipped to share the Gospel
with evidence.
What can you do personally to turn this secular and devilish
challenge into an advancement of God's Church and Kingdom?
- Invite everyone you know to attend a FaithSearch
Discovery presentation. This event will clarify the
issues and erase the confusion for them. (Check our
schedule of events.)g)
- Keep a supply of my book, Surprised by Faith,
on hand to share with everyone who has read The Da Vinci
Code book or attended the movie. It provides the antidote
for the misrepresentations and lies concerning the New
Testament and Jesus.
- Use the DVD, Jesus: Divine or Da Vinci?--which
you will receive FREE with a donation to FaithSearch
before June 30--as a way of sharing the facts and the
truth. Purchase additional copies for only $10 each
to reach out to even more people.
- Pray that Christians everywhere will do as the apostle
Peter commands: "Always be prepared to give an
answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for
the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15).
Our fiscal year ends on June
30. We need your prayers and financial help
to stay on the "cutting edge" of proving and
proclaiming that the Bible is reliable truth and that
Jesus Christ is indeed the answer for every person. Every
gift, large or small, enables us to remain vigilant. You
matter to us, and your participation is important! We
are a donor-supported ministry and your gift is needed.
I look forward to your reply.
Proclaiming the Gospel - "the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes,"
